Privacy Policy

SCRAMBLE is in development. Right now this site does one thing: it lets you join the waitlist so we can tell you when the game is ready. This policy explains what we collect when you do that, and how we handle it.

Who we are

SCRAMBLE is a game made by Midwinter Studios LLC ("Midwinter Studios," "we," "us"). For any privacy questions, reach us at hello@midwinterstudios.com.

What we collect

• Your email address, when you submit it to join the waitlist.
• Basic technical details sent automatically with your request — such as your browser's user-agent and a one-way hashed form of your IP address — which we use to prevent spam and abuse. We do not store your raw IP address.

That's it. We don't ask for your name, and the site doesn't use advertising trackers.

How we use it

• To add you to the SCRAMBLE waitlist and send you a confirmation.
• To email you news about SCRAMBLE — most importantly, when it's available to play.
• To protect the waitlist from spam and abuse.

How it's stored & who processes it

Waitlist data is stored in our database hosted by Supabase, and confirmation and update emails are sent through Resend. These providers process your information on our behalf so we can run the waitlist. We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe anytime. Every email we send includes a way to opt out, or you can email us to be removed.
• Access or deletion. You can ask us to delete your email from the waitlist at any time by contacting hello@midwinterstudios.com.

Data retention

We keep your email on the waitlist until the game launches and the waitlist has served its purpose, or until you ask us to remove it — whichever comes first.

Children

The SCRAMBLE waitlist isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we'll remove it.

Changes

As SCRAMBLE grows from a waitlist into a live game, this policy will change. When it does, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know by email.
